Fair To Green

Springtime!!The Fairways are opening and the Greens are starting to fill up..the campgrounds and rivers are waiting to hear the first travellers of the year and trying to forget the long past winter.It's a time of rebirth and re-energizing and rehearsal for the things to come.Old friends fade away and new ones arrive.I wish all of you a wonderful start to a new beginning as well as accepting the changes that inevitably come in this life and world!Come over to JimGilmour myspace and Be A Friend!! Merry Christmas!!

Well it is really hard to believe that it's this time of year again.The past year seemed to go by very fast!I guess it's because we've been very busy writing recording and touring!It's time for a well deserved little break but let me assure you that we are actively pressing forward and considering alot of different options for the future of SAGA!So keep those auditions coming in!!I'm also working on some other projects as well as another solo cd..so stay tuned.I'd like to thank all of you for helping to make the 10000 Days tour and cd a success!Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year as well!! Fall Updates

Hi everyone just wanted to let you know that everything is going great in regards to cd release and shows etc.For Ontario fans Saga are doing 3 shows in Barrie Toronto and Brantford.We wanted to do at least 10 gigs which would have included cities in Quebec as well but timing and venue availability got in the way.As you are aware the Eurotour was booked well in advance and obviously we can't change those dates.Also for those of you who have XM radio I'll be interviewed tomorrow morning at about 8;45am est(Fri Sept 29) on their hockey channel talking about the upcoming season and the Leafs as well as the new cd and the future of Saga etc!In the meantime get ready for some new site updates and some great new music.Hope to see you all on the road or in the bush!

New ideas, new site

Hello there,

In the background, some work has already been done on working for a new site. The new Jim Gilmour website.
The new website will be launched in oktober-november 2007. Due to other techniques, it will be more interactive and much quicker and easier.

Stay tuned for news to come on Jim: his solo-plans, his contribution for the new upcoming Saga CD, and several contributions to other musical projects.

June Updates

I'm sorry that it's been awhile since I last posted anything.I have been writing like crazy for the new Saga cd for the last few months as well as some solo material .Also a few other projects have come and gone as well as three great camping trips already this season!I also wanted to clear some things up.Saga is doing a new cd and Mike will be on it.We also have some more surprises in store when the tour starts in the fall.AlsoI know alot of you may be confused as to the future of the band.Jim Ian and Brian and myself do plan on continuing.I'm not going to give out too much info here and now as I don't want to diminish the importance of this year to us and most importantly you our loyal fans.I hope to see some of you for the festivals coming up and have a great summer!

KORG Keyboards and stuff

Hi there,

I often see some good critics on the KORG gear that Jim uses on stage and in the studio.
Do you also feel the sounds that Saga used on their first albums? Surely, a Moog sound is a different sound then KORG but KORG is also very different and unique towards Moog.
At the latest album, Jim has used a lot of KORG gear. Which sound especially do you all like?
With your input, Jim can surely use some sounds that fit into your tastings of music.

So, let just hear your opinion on this. It's worth it....
Maybe I also want to tell you all about the deep friendship between Jim and Korg.

Sound Clips & Soundtrack Bites

In the music section, sound clips of my first solo album have been added. You can hear 5 excerpts from the 13 track album. I know that not everybody has got a chance to listen to this music, so here's the opportunity to enjoy these songs.

At a new section called Soundtrack Bites, there will be soon some excerpts for directors and producers and others for scoring work as Mp3’s. So stay tuned for new material to come.

Changes

As we all know change is inevitable and time waits for no one.As the new year takes its course there are alot of things in store including new Saga cd's and a dvd and a big tour which will be very exciting!In the meantime I've been writing and also playing in a cool new project called XXX which I'll tell you more about in the near future.Also next month I'll be performing in a musical which is something I enjoy and do once or twice a year.Hope your new year is starting out well and hope to see you all soon.
